The incident took place around 2:45 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 9, at the Dunkin' Donuts at 364 Bridgeport Ave., in Milford, said Milford Police Officer Michael DeVito.

According to DeVito, police received a call of a shirtless man jumping on the counters and throwing items around inside the restaurant.

When officers arrived, the juvenile was standing on a garbage can and was combative and resisted all efforts to control him, police said.

With the help of K9, Zar, the juvenile was eventually taken into custody despite obviously being under the influence of an unknown drug, Milford Police said.

The juvenile was then brought to the hospital.

Dunkin' Donuts staff said the juvenile caused $5,000 worth of damage before police arrived.
